February 2016: The DemoBlox Move

Hey ModernBloxers!

The #DemoBlox is moving! As you all know, we created the #DemoBlox in 106 E Eskridge Ave poured in a lot of hours in this beautiful container home that we have been able to build. This #DemoBlox has been our child which we are seeing grow at a very rapid rate. So far its been a great experience. After making a deal with the Meridian Technology Center, we were able to zero in on a place where Modernblox will be stationed as our office in Stilwater, Oklahoma. We are soon starting to give tours to everyone registering with us. Just like everyone we feel nothing different but it is indeed really hard to say goodbye to the place we spent so much time pouring out our passion in building something that we’ve always dreamt of. But “With every ending comes a new beginning” as they say, and we will be starting our journey here at the Meridian Technology Center located at 1312 S Sangre Rd still in Stillwater.

We will be open for visits and tours soon. If you want to drive by the #DemoBlox, email lee@modernbloxcom. If you want to know how to get here, Google Maps can help us. Just click on this link.

You know that we love taking pictures, and a special moment like this requires documentation. While prepping for the whole moving the container thing, we were ready with a lot of cameras. GoPros and yes, Lee got his special drone to record the footage of this move. We placed GoPros in and outside of the container to have an insight of how the moving process would affect our containers. The footage we took would help us on doing further analysis of our moving process. We are elated to tell you guys that our move worked out really really well; much more than our expectations. We did not have even a single scratch on our container, neither inside nor outside. Our construction was rock solid! Kudos to the Mustang Heavy Haul team in Stillwater, who we had contracted for this move. As well as, kudos to our great team at Modernblox who has been putting a lot of time discussing, planning and working hard into bringing with what started into an idea into a fully functional company.
Our cameras have given us some great pictures. We got some move footage from the GoPros and the aerial drone that Lee had got to record this operation. We are really excited for the Modernblox move video to come out. You all are going to love it!

Mr. GoPro helping us record our container move for further analysis and also for some great footage for all of our customers to enjoy. We will be uploading a nice footage of this move soon.

GoPro with our Pro Neel. These GoPros have been our great buddies helping us to record all of our container building processes and do analysis on them. We have been able to document everything really well to constantly improve on what we do at ModernBlox. It ain't easy, but with the right commitment and equal amount of hardwork we believe that just at we have promised We are changing the world one Blox at a time . Keep looking for more updates on our moving video which will come out soon.

Now that the cameras are set up, it’s time to meet the moving team.

Moving a shipping container is not that easy. It requires extra caution and love, that’s why we were very fortunate to have found the Mustang Heavy Haul Team.

Our Co-owner Lee Easton with the Mustang Heavy Haul team. They did a fantastic job helping us move our container. We moved without a single scratch on our ModernBlox. If you have to move anything, we highly recommend them: You can find them on https://www.facebook.com/MHH2014/.

When we felt like we were at the set of Transformers…

We were wondering if we were on the location of the movie "Transformers" with this crane from Mustang Heavy Haul. It didn't turn into one of the heroic AutoBots but this crane did work like one. Within a few hours, this baby moved our ModernBlox with out any damages. We called it our own "Transformer".

Neel even imagined the two having a conversation like this:

On to the moving process. First, we have to make sure that everything inside the container is secure because we don’t want to accidentally break stuff.

Final Check on the inside before we load it on the truck.

Yes its all loaded to move - Took us just under an hour to get it loaded on that Truck. All thanks to the right planning by our partners Ben Loh, Lee Easton, Askari Addison and Swapneel D. This was a great test to our philosophy "that we can move and ship these ModernBloxes without any damages to any place you want." We were exactly able to achieve that. We at ModernBlox believe in good planning and even better execution of these plans. So let's build your next ModernBlox and shipped to your location!

"ModernBlox was here". We left a foot mark of our ModernBlox prototype before we move to our new location. We spent a lot of time at this place, and we are sad to move because we spent a considerable amount of time here to build our prototype. As all, we too hate goodbyes! Slowly, that mark will go away, and the grass will grow back on that patch of land. But we will always remember where we started.

A few minutes later…we are now at the Meridian Technology Center.

Setting the Railroad Ties to give a firm base to our new Container Office at the Meridian Tech. Oh yess the location looks great. We are open for business. Come signup for your tour.

We have a "Touchdown".
